SavingStar program is similar to other e-coupons programs in that there is nothing to clip and nothing to print. However, SavingStar has a different twist.
What is SavingStar?
SavingStar is the first and only national, fully-digital grocery eCoupon service. It offers electronic coupons that attach to all of your favorite retailer’s loyalty cards.
There are currently over 24,000 nationwide participating stores, representing over 100 retailer chains such as CVS, Kroger, Albertsons, Rite Aid, Giant and many more.
How does SavingStar works?
After a one-time registration of your favorite store cards, you simply log on to SavingStar.com on you computer, iPhone® or Android® apps and select the e-coupons that you want. The eCoupons are automatically linked to all of your registered loyalty cards.
When you use your card as you normally do at the checkout lane, your savings are automatically added to your SavingStar account. (Note: your grocery bill will stay the same). Once your savings reach $5, you can have them deposited into your bank account, sent to your PayPal account, get an Amazon gift card or even donate them to American Forests (more payment methods are being added).
Does SavingStar offer iPhone® or Android® apps?
SavingStar offer apps for both iPhone® and Android®. These apps allow you to choose electronic coupons while on the go, even when you’re shopping – virtually turning them into mobile coupons.
Another benefit is that it helps you remember which items you need to purchase to redeem your digital coupons.
What if my favorite store has no loyalty cards?
There are a handful of SavingStar participating retailers that do not have traditional store loyalty cards. Savingstar electronic coupons can be linked to “Upromise keytags” or any other forms of unique identification numbers such as phone numbers.
How often do new e-coupons appear?
Right now SavingStar publishes new eCoupons on the first of every month.
Do SavingStar digital coupons double?
Similar to other eCoupon companies, SavingStar electronic coupons do not double. They are, however can be stacked with both Manufacturer coupons as well as retailer coupons!
I’m a member of Upromise and see that its Grocery eCoupons are powered by SavingStar. Can I participate in both Upromise and SavingStar?
Yes. In fact, SavingStar provides the eCoupons for the Upromise service. You may register for both the Upromise and SavingStar services, including registering your same store loyalty cards in each service. However, you may only activate a particular eCoupon in one service during a single promotion period. In the future, you’ll see SavingStar powering other rewards services as well.
